We live in Harbin! Blog: https://tinyurl.com/y8u4p8lf Harbin has a lot of hidden gems. We've planned a two day itinerary that takes you five of the most interesting places Harbin has to offer (aside from the obvious snow and ice festival in the winter). We start at the most evil building in China and end with the most beautiful building in China (with interesting things to do and see in between). Sweet sweet social media. Follow us! A form of extreme tourism where zookeepers dump a live calf for hungry tigers to devour.
The Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin has over 500 purebred Siberian tigers with 100 visible to visitors. And although it attracts a lot of visitors, the extreme nature of feeding live cattle to these huge cats by dumping it from a truck is very disturbing, to say the very least. But then it's China...always full of surprises.
Sunday, 13 August, HARBIN (China): Sweden’s Erik Stark capped a perfect weekend in China by following up his stunning win in yesterday's BRM Official Qualifying with a brilliant drive in today’s UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Harbin to take his maiden Grand Prix victory. The 29-year-old produced a faultless drive and held his nerve over 53 gruelling laps around the 1.92km Hulan Estuary Wetland Park circuit to take the win by 9.31s and become the newest member of the elite Grand Prix winners club in his 22nd race. Second place went to Abu Dhabi’s Thani Al Qemzi with Ahmed Al Hameli coming home in third place for Victory Team. F1H2O UIM World Championship http://bit.ly/2uzS7tj

Check out http://restlessfeet.co for more Restless Feet adventures! Today marks 8 months since I Toronto to come to Harbin China, wow. I’ve met quite a few other foreigners in the past few months. For months I didn’t see a single foreigner in my neighbourhood, until one day I came across a married couple by the name of Howard and Faythe from California who are both retired but decided they wanted to continue teaching on a part-time basis so they moved to Harbin. They’re so lovely and they live down the street from me. Anyways, since that day I’ve met so many wonderful people, other foreign teachers, and students from all over the world. Each ...

Feeding live pheasants to tigers on a winter park bus tour through the tiger section of the Harbin Zoo in Harbin, China. It was a bit shocking for me to witness, as I did not know this would be part of the tour. Nevertheless, I managed to capture some of the moments of the feeding along with the stupidity of the tour operator to let the windows be opened. (Filmed January, 2015)
